The Department of Economics, Nanda Nath Saikia College, Titabar has organised a National Webinar on “Dynamics of Indian Economy in the context of COVID 19 and Changing Indo - China Relationship” which was held on 16th July, 2020. Dr. Litool Baruah, Principal, Nanda Nath Saikia College inaugrated the webinar and gave the welcome speech. Dr. Gayatri Goswami, Professor, Department of Economics, Gauhati University and Dr. Dukhabandhu Sahoo, Assistant Professor, Department of Humanities, Social Science and Management, Indian Institute of Technology, Bhubaneswar had joined this webinar as Resource persons. Dr. Gayatri Goswami deliberated on how the Indian Economy has been affected due to COVID -19. The issues like reverse migration and its adverse effect on agriculture in particular and Assam Economy in general were discussed. Dr. D. Sahoo reflected on how the Indo China crisis would affect the manufacturing sector as well as the Indian Economy. He also spoke about the affect of COVID -19 across regions as well as the problem and prospect of the crisis on Indian Economy. More than 120 participants participated in this webinar and submitted positive feedback.
