- N. Saikia College upholds discipline as a positive value for the promotion of educational and social engagement of all the students. The head of the institution is entitled to exercise his authority and power necessary to promote, enforce and maintain discipline among the students.
- Students must abide by the rules and regulations framed by the institution from time to time.
- Regarding attendance, students should fulfil the minimum required attendance failing which his/her admission would be cancelled and he/she would be debarred from appearing in the finale examinations. In case of any genuine reason, the guardian of the student must inform the authority though a written application citing the reason of absence.
- As all the course offered by the college are full-time courses, no student is allowed to pursue any other course simultaneously.
- For the regulation of discipline and decorum, students must enter the college and attend classes in the prescribed dress code. The college uniform is a must while being inside the college premises.
- The conduct and behaviour of each and every student must be manner that befits the dignity and position of the institution. While within the college premises and inside the classrooms, students must maintain proper discipline and punctuality.
- Inside the library students must behave in such a way as not to disrupt or disturb the atmosphere of the library. Students must abide by all the library rules.
- Students must be careful and respectful towards the properties of the college and must not indulge in any activity to damage the same.
- Students must cooperate the authority in maintaining a clean and green campus. Loitering inside the campus and littering the campus are severely dealt with.
- The use of the mobile phones is strictly prohibited inside the college campus. Any violation of the rule is dealt with strict disciplinary action.
- Students are not allowed to form any society or organise any gathering or meeting without the permission of the Principal.
- Ragging is strictly prohibited in the college and all the students must obey the prohibition. Any direct or indirect involvement in ragging is meted out with grave disciplinary action by the authority.
- The hostel-boarders are to comply with all the rules and regulations of the hostel.
