The department of Geography, N.N.Saikia College has a signed a MoU with the department of Geography, J.B. College, Jorhat so that faculty members of both the colleges can share their knowledge, skill and expertise with each other. Under this MoU, a Faculty Exchange Program was held at the department of Geography, J. B. College on 23rd January, 2023 where 41 students of BA 4th Semester students participated. Here the resource person Mrs. Sangita Saikia, Assistant Professor, Department of Geography, N. N. Saikia College delivered a lecture on the topic: “Adaptation of Man in Environment”. Here her focal point were tropical regions of the world and tropical rainforests. She also highlighted the importance and significance of tropical rainforests in the world and its role in the preservation of the environment. The participant students were highly benefitted by the lecture and they raised their concern regarding the ongoing environmental degradation and the urgency of saving the ecological balance.
