Nanda Nath Saikia College is committed to the knowledge society in organizing academic programs in order to refresh the skills and potencies of the faculty members and other academic staff. By virtue of this commitment, the college has organized a One Week National Workshop on “Research Projects, Fund Acquisition, Grant approval: effective strategies, techniques and smart interactions - a multidisciplinary approach” from 24th to 30th June, 2025 (from 01 PM to 5 PM). The program started with a welcome address by Dr. Gajendra Nath Bordoloi, President, Governing Body, N.N. Saikia College, Titabar and Dr. Suvangshu Dutta, Principal of the college. The keynote address was given by Prof. K.R.S. Samvashiva Rao, Vice-Chancellor, Mangalayatan University, Jabalpur (M.P.) and former Vice-Chancellor of Mizoram University. About 12 eminent faculties from different subject disciplines, institutions and universities were resource persons who delivered talks on their areas of expertise. The objectives of the program are:
- To foster the spirit of project writing and submitting novel projects to different funding agencies
- To inculcate the multidisciplinary project writing among faculty members and other academic staff
- To discover diffusion of subjects in allied areas of study
- To make Nanda Nath Saikia College visible among the academic community

Moreover, the program was in collaboration with The Common Microbial Biotechnology Platform (CMBP), Hanoi, Vietnam Dr. Didier Lesueur from CMBP delivered their gratitude for considering them as their potential collaborator. Dr. Rehan Dastagir from IUBAT, Dhaka, Bangladesh, Dr. LK Tawfeeq Al-Ani, University Sains Malaysia collaborated on the event. The program ended with the active co-operation of the team members of the entire organizing team. Around 150 participants from Colleges and Universities of Assam and outside Assam registered in the event. There was an interaction session of the participants with the resource persons and the organizing team. The program ended with a formal vote of thanks from the conveners of the event Dr. Pranabananda Bhattacharyya, Dr. Dhrubajit Borah and Dr. Dhruba Jyoti Borgohain.
