Dr. Jafrin Farha Hussain has completed her M. Sc. in Zoology from Gauhati University with specialisation in Animal Physiology and Biochemistry in the year 2012. She completed her Ph. D. from Gauhati University in 2020.
Prior to joining Nanda Nath Saikia College, Dr. Jafrin Farha Hussain served as a Research Officer in the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of India, in the Delhi Headquarters and Shillong Integrated Regional Office during 2016 - 2021.
Her Research Interests include Hill Stream Biology, Adaptive Modifications of Hill Stream Fish Fauna, DNA Barcoding studies, Heavy metal studies of Water and Soil, and Ichthyofaunal Diversity Studies of unexplored water bodies. She has a knack for delivering knowledge on experimentation to the younger generation.
