The Department of English, Nanda Nath Saikia College, Titabar, established in July 1959, offers BA (Core) and pass course, and Higher Secondary course. The Course structure follows the latest UGC guidelines on Choice Based Credit System (CBCS). It aims to develop kin academic development to inculcate in every student a deep understanding of world literature and to understand the potential. Through quality education, the department tries to imbibe a holistic attitude for a rational, cultural and moral understanding of society. The department also organizes seminars, workshops, lecture programmes with interdisciplinary activities.

Mission:

To enable students towards a broad understanding of literatures in English as well as to conduct scholarly endeavours, and analyse the role that race, gender, class, sexuality and national or global history play in literary studies.
