Ms. Mitali Chetia (Assistant Professor, Department of Zoology) was appreciated for volunteering for the development of online educational resources for ZSA youtube Channel by Zoological Society of Assam.
Mr Rajib Das (Assistant Professor, Department of History, and CTO of the NCC Unit), Mr Debanga Bhushan Baruah, and Miss Daisy Hazarika (Students and NCC Cadets) were awarded Yoga Certification Board Ministry of AYUSH on 21 June, 2020 for their active participation in the 6th International Day of Yoga
Mr Shahil Hussain (Assistant Professor, Deparment of English, and coordinator of the NSS Unit) was awarded by Indian Society for Training and Development (Guwahati Chapter) & “ARHAN” (Association of Reforms for Healthy Advancement of Nation), for his outstanding contribution and fortitude towards the humanitarian cause and exemplary work done at the frontline during the Covid pandemic.
Dr Gunaram Nath (Associate Professor, Department of Political Science) was awarded Dr Ambedkar Sewashree National Award, 2021 for commendable literary, social and cultural services rendered by him for the upliftment of the downtrodden- oppressed and depressed people of the country. It is worth mentioning that Dr Nath has selflessly served for the development of the people belonging to the Dalit community through the years and he has raised awareness against social evils like casteism.
