Report

The NSS Unit, NCC Wing, Department of Education, in collaboration with Department of Zoology NN Saikia College celebrated the International Day of Yoga on 21.06.2023 in the college auditorium. At the outset, the GS of the college welcomed all and requested Vice Principal for inauguration of the programme by lighting a lamp. After that, Vice Principal, Dr. Malakshmi Dutta welcomed all the students and faculty and briefed about the theme of Yoga Day 2023 and stressed on the importance of yoga and meditation. After that, Dr. Manashi Bortamuly, HoD, Department of Zoology led the session by teaching various asanas of Yoga. The entire programme lasted for about 1 hour.

Students from NSS Wing, NCC Wing, Department of Education and Department of Zoology, along with several faculty members participated in the several asanas. The programme ended after light refreshment of juice and snacks.
