On the occasion of World AIDS Day on 1st December 2025, the NSS Unit of our college organised an awareness camp in the Titabor locality. The primary objective of the programme was to sensitise the public about the causes of HIV/AIDS, along with its preventive measures and safety practices. The targeted groups included shopkeepers, commercial vehicle drivers, students, and pedestrians. During the programme, NSS volunteers also distributed informative leaflets to the public to promote awareness and encourage responsible health practices.




The NCC Unit of N N Saikia College also conducted an AIDS Day rally to raise awareness and promote responsible choices.


The Study Centre of Nandanath Saikia College under Krishna Kanta Handiqui State Open University also observed World AIDS Day to disseminate awareness about this life-threatening disease in society, a commemorative programme was organised at Nandanath Saikia College, Titabor.
With the objective of sensitising students to various aspects of this disease, a lecture programme was arranged for the learners of the Study Centre. Shri Ranjit Saikia, Counsellor of the Anti-Retroviral Therapy Unit, Jorhat Medical College & Hospital, delivered a talk highlighting HIV/AIDS transmission, management, and prevention through enhanced awareness. Around 50 students from different semesters, along with the faculty members of the Study Centre, participated in the programme. The event concluded with a vote of thanks offered by Dr. Gautam Borah, Coordinator of the Study Centre.
