Shilpi Diwas' was celebrated under the initiative of the Assamese Department of Nandanath Saikia College. The program, which began with a chorus by the teachers, included the college principal, Dr. Subhanshu Dutta, explaining the significance of Shilpi Diwas and calling upon students to study the life ideals of Jyotiprasad Agarwala. Several teachers and students, including the college vice-principal Dr. Jonali Saikia Borkakati, enhanced the beauty of the event by performing songs and speeches. A book unveiling ceremony for the departmental book of the Assamese Department was also held in conjunction with Shilpi Diwas. The book titled "Prabandha Chintan," an anthology of essays on Assamese language, literature, and culture edited by Dr. Gautam Borah, Assistant Professor of the Assamese Department, was unveiled by the college vice-principal Dr. Jonali Saikia Borkakati. While unveiling the book, the vice-principal remarked that it is a unique addition to the academic field of the college. The Head of the Assamese Department, Dr. Barnali Saikia, anchored the program.
