One day Seminar on New Education Policy

A programme was organised by N.N.Saikia college on “ Draft-Nation education policy 2019”. The programme was held on 1^st October, 2019 in the college premises. Dr. Dinesh Baishya, invited speaker, deliberates upon the pros and cons of the National education policy, 2019.  He also put emphasis on ramifications that would bring to teaching and learning experiences of students if it implements properly. In addition, he also deliberates upon need of enhancement of teaching skills of the teachers and urged the teachers to well-acquaint with modern methodologies of teachings so that students can hone required skills according to exacting demand of the economy. During the discussion, Dr. Baishya has suggested that it is the need of the hour to initiate vocational courses in the college campus so that the students which are not good at studies can hone required skills for their sustenance. Finally, he has ended his lecture by stating that research and innovation are indispensable for well-being of students as well as the society.
