An awareness programme on the eradication of ragging and the New Education Policy (NEP) 2023 was successfully conducted at N. N. Saikia College, Titabar, on 25th March 2026. The event was organized by the District Legal Services Authority, Jorhat in collaboration with the college authority. The programme aimed to sensitize students about the harmful effects of ragging and to create awareness regarding the key provisions and objectives of NEP 2023. It witnessed active participation from faculty members, students, and invited dignitaries. During the session, the speakers elaborated on the legal consequences of ragging and stressed the importance of maintaining a safe, respectful, and inclusive academic environment. They also highlighted the salient features of NEP 2023, with particular emphasis on holistic education, skill development, and student-centric learning approaches. The programme included interactive discussions, encouraging students to express their views and seek clarifications, thereby making the session engaging and participatory. Overall, the event proved to be highly informative and impactful, fostering awareness among students and reinforcing the collective responsibility required to eradicate ragging. It also aligned participants with the progressive vision and transformative goals of the New Education Policy.


The NCC Unit of N. N. Saikia College observed World Water Day on 22nd March by organizing an extempore speech programme among the cadets of the college. The event provided a meaningful platform for participants to articulate their views on the importance of water conservation and the sustainable use of water resources. Cadets participated enthusiastically, addressing both global and local water-related challenges through their insightful speeches. The programme aimed to promote awareness and inspire responsible practices towards the conservation and protection of this vital natural resource.
